If you’ve ever wondered why some stores easily get approved by the best high-ticket suppliers while others get ignored, you’re not alone. Supplier approval is one of the most common sticking points for beginners in high-ticket dropshipping.
I’ve helped thousands of students through this process inside Drop Ship Lifestyle, and here’s the truth: suppliers don’t just hand out accounts to anyone who asks. You need to position yourself as a real retailer they can trust.
In this post, I’ll walk you through exactly how to get approved by high-ticket suppliers in 2025 so you can land those valuable partnerships and start selling.

Why Supplier Approval Matters
Your suppliers determine your product catalog, shipping speed, and overall customer experience. If you can’t get approved, you can’t sell their products. It’s that simple.
The good news? Once you know what suppliers are looking for, getting approved becomes much easier.
Step 1: Build a Professional Website First
Suppliers want to see that you’re serious before giving you access. Don’t apply with a half-finished Shopify store.
Make sure your website has:
This shows suppliers you’re running a real business, not a hobby.
Note: I had my team build a demo store so you can experience how a professional store should look and function. Here's the link: https://shakasurfboards.com/
Step 2: Apply to the Right Suppliers
Not every supplier is a good fit. Avoid overseas-only suppliers or middlemen wholesalers. Instead, focus on becoming an Authorized Retailer for U.S. suppliers in the niche you’ve chosen.
If you need help, I’ve put together resources on finding reliable U.S. high-ticket suppliers that actually want retailer partners.
Step 3: Use the Right Language When Applying
When you reach out, don’t say “I’m new to dropshipping.” That’s a red flag. Instead, introduce yourself as a retailer who’s building an online store in their industry.
Keep it short and professional. For example:
“Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I run [Your Store Name], an online retailer focused on [your niche]. I’d love the opportunity to become an authorized dealer for your products and promote your brand to my audience.”
Step 4: Be Ready to Answer Questions
Suppliers may ask:
Be prepared with confident answers. The key is to show you’ll represent their brand well and follow their policies.
Step 5: Follow Up the Right Way
If you don’t hear back, follow up within a week. Keep it polite and professional. Suppliers are busy, and sometimes all it takes is a nudge. I personally use a spreadsheet to track all of my suppliers' communication and use a reminder for when to follow up.

Step 6: Start Strong Once You’re Approved
The approval is just the beginning. Once you’re in, focus on driving traffic, generating sales, and keeping communication open. A strong start will make suppliers more likely to extend better pricing and support over time.
Wrapping Up
Getting approved by high-ticket suppliers doesn’t have to feel intimidating. Remember:
When you do this, suppliers will see you as a valuable partner, not just another application in their inbox.
Inside my Drop Ship Blueprint, I walk you through the exact supplier approval scripts and templates I use, so you never have to guess what to say. It’s the fastest way to get approved and start building real partnerships that lead to a profitable store.
Hey Everyone,
As many of you already know, I created Drop Ship Lifestyle after selling a network of eCommerce stores and then trying to find a community of other store owners to network with… What I found was a bunch of scammers who promised newbies they would get rich quickly by following their push-button systems!
This led me to create a new community along with an online training program that shares how to build a REAL online business.
I’d love to hear what you think… It’s a 2.5-hour training designed to help you drop ship profitably… all for free.
