From First Sale to a $1.5M Store

Carlos didn’t start his ecommerce journey with high-ticket dropshipping.
Like many online sellers, he began with low-ticket products sourced from overseas suppliers.
For several years, he ran Shopify stores selling inexpensive products and driving traffic primarily through Facebook ads.
While the stores generated sales, the business had its challenges.
Low-ticket products meant:
• Lower profit margins
• More customer service requests
• A higher volume of orders to manage
Eventually Carlos and his team began experimenting with higher-priced products.
They discovered something surprising.
Customers were willing to spend significantly more money online — and those higher-ticket orders actually made the business easier to manage.
Instead of processing hundreds of small orders, they could focus on fewer transactions while providing better service to each customer.
Their transition toward high-ticket products accelerated after discovering the Drop Ship Lifestyle model.
Rather than starting an entirely new store, they incorporated higher-ticket products into their existing ecommerce business and gradually shifted their focus.
When Facebook ads became unavailable for their store, Carlos was forced to explore other traffic sources.
That’s when they transitioned into Google Ads, which has since become their primary paid traffic channel.
Over time, the business continued to grow.
But the biggest breakthrough came when they stopped trying to do everything themselves.
After hiring help — particularly for customer service — Carlos suddenly had more time and mental space to focus on growing the business.
Instead of spending hours answering messages, he could focus on strategy, scaling, and improving the store.
In this interview, Carlos shares how transitioning to higher-ticket products and building a team helped transform their ecommerce business.
His biggest lesson for other store owners?
If you want to scale your business, don’t try to do everything alone.
Getting help at the right time can free up the time and focus needed to grow to the next level.
